The company was established in 1987 by dealer principal John Joe Byrne and first traded in Ballycarney, near Enniscorthy, before opening in Wexford town in 1988. Over the past 20 years JJ Byrne car sales have striven to offer our customers the best facilities and quality of service we can provide.   From a low base JJ Byrne Car Sales have driven the Citroen market share in Wexford to be one of the highest in the country. Our share of the car market in County Wexford is regularly close to, or double the Citroen national average. This level of sales has been achieved by our excellent staff serving our customers needs to the best of our ability on a consistent daily basis.   This success has been recognised and rewarded over the years. Most recently JJ Byrne Car Sales have won Citroen National Dealer of the Year 2005 and are now also the 2005 award winner for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction, an award based on Citroens regular customer satisfaction surveys. Both our sales and after sales staff are proficient in service and product knowledge. Our qualified technical staff undergo regular specialised training to service our product range. JJ Byrne Car Sales have had ISO9000:2001 accreditation since 2004.   The Newtown Road premises saw many additions and changes over the years most recently in 2002 with major extensions to our showroom and to our service areas. However by 2006 it was decided that a new premises was required to fully showcase the Citroen brand, and our premium used cars, and to offer our customers the highest levels of satisfaction and convenience.   Following a study of the most advantageous locations in and around Wexford town the decision was made to purchase a greenfield site with extensive road frontage at Ardcavan Business Park and develop a state of the art car sales showroom and service facility. Construction began in mid 2007 and the building was occupied by Christmas 2007.   The building provides over 30.000sq ft of space with the glass fronted showroom comfortably housing 12-14 cars along with the main reception desk, sales offices, service reception and customer waiting area’s. The upper floor and mezzanine area contains administration offices, board room, comm’s room, staff canteen and showers.   The service area, consisting of 7 work bays and a pre NCT test lane all with vehicle lifts, a diagnostic bay and work bench facilities, and admin office is to the rear of the building. All work bays are cat5 enabled to allow remote broadband communication with Citroen Service in Dublin or Paris for software downloads to vehicles. The service area is fully compliant with all exhaust gas emission regulations while waste engine oil is centrally collected and recycled along with batteries,tyres and packaging waste.          The two story parts store and retail counter is at the rear of the building as is the vehicle valeting bay. Under the building a large basement provides parking for up to 40 vehicles. Secure parking for vehicles is provided to the rear of the building while the front and side of the building provides parking for sales vehicles accessible to the public at all times.   The building has been designed and constructed, to the highest standards and following this multi million euro investment Byrne Car Sales look forward to many years successful trading in the future from Ardcavan.
